Smolak Farm

There is a PYO strawberry farm in a neighbouring village which we visited on one of our first weekends in our new surroundings. And what's the first thing you should do when you visit a strawberry farm? Jump off the toy tractor.
The more conservative use of the tractor.

The Leaning Tower of Jessica. Just after this photo was taken I took a quick step backwards to teach Jessie the valuable lesson that you can't trust anyone, not even your father.
Watching Big Sis in action, with no inclination to copy her whatsoever.
Jessie propelling the water for her 'duck racing'.
Possibly the best business model ever. Getting your visitors to pay extortionate amounts to feed your animals the smallest of snacks.

The male peacock impressing these two chicks.
Jessie ever-ready for the 'kodak moment'.

Yes Sienna, that's a camera stuck on mummy's face for the day.
Sienna could be Irish. Green green grass, pale skin and reddish hair. My grandparent's would have been proud.

Jessie spent most of her time feeding this young billy goat.
Sienna would only go near the animals safely alongside Daddy. This was one of the few times we managed to get a photo without her holding onto my legs for comfort.
The joys of dandelion seeds.

A timid Sienna waiting for back-up before going any closer to the guinea fowl.

The Irish American beauty.

Father's Day 2009

The Father's Day breakfast Jessie lovingly made for me. Although invisible to this photo, half of that jar of honey had been poured on the granola and the table. It tasted delicious.

Father's Day meal at the Longhorn Steakhouse. Jessie can fully dressed in cowgirl gear.

Sienna eyeing up the platter of bread.
Jessie in a grump for the group photo.
Still rebelling.
Hmmm.
Sienna is an avid fan of all things equine, and was in 7th Heaven looking at the horsies here.

Shelley 'breaking the bread' as all holy women should.

Daddy trying to give Sienna a kiss without his big nose getting in the way.

The face of innocence.
I had a lovely Father's Day and am really looking forward to spending it with our soon to be family of five next year.

54 South Pleasant Street

Shock Horror! I've updated our blog at last. We've bought a new camera and moved house since last time, and here's the results of both seismic events.
The yard we share with our landlords/ friends the O'Valle's
The Front of the house. We have the ground floor.
Our communal entrance round the side.

The girls bedroom at bedtime.
The lounge.
The Kitchen.

South Pleasant Street in the wettest June of living memory, for me.
