Strawberry Festival

Jess and Hayley

Face painting. Jess had a strawberry painted on her face, although it looked considerably more like a beet(root).
Connor and Haddon
Brother and sister.
The 6'6'' 250lb Matt in one of his less masculine poses. Unless he was commenting on my excessive use of hair product.

Physical prowess

Here's where the girls currently are in terms of their physical developments. Sienna is able to bounce with assisted support for a few minutes.
Jess borrowing Haddon's bike, and being able to ride with training wheels/ stabilisers (depending on which side of the pond you come from).

Red-tailed hawk

Whilst walking round the campus the other day we saw a bird of prey land in a nearby tree and eat its kill. It was not afraid of humans and I was able to stand directly beneath the branch it was on and take these pictures , with Jess surrealy dressed as a bunny rabbit standing behind my legs.
At first I thought is was an eagle, but later found out it was a red-tailed hawk.

Here's a little video of it eating lunch. We were so close, I was able to take this with my hand held camera.

Two peas in a pod

These two love hanging out together, and Jess is particularly good at 'mothering' Sienna. We sometimes have to be careful that she doesn't smother her though. Sienna is besotted by Jess and watches her wherever she goes, and giggles whenever Jess talks to her.

Story time.

4th July

Seeing that it's the 4th July, I have stuck this beautiful picture on the door at the front of our apartment complex, with the words "God Save the Queen". I doubt my American friends will have any idea who is responsible.
